SCAN 12074 AIS74 Marine AIS Antenna 4 dBi

Sail all over the world with the Scan AIS74 (12074-xxx) marine AIS antenna. AIS stands for Automatic Identification System and is designed to automatically track and identify ships worldwide. The system consists of a transponder and receiver. The transponder sends out a signal with data about your ship name, vhf name, position, heading, speed and the type of vessel. The receiver can receive the AIS signals from other ships nearby. The scan AIS antenna amplifies these signals by 4 dBi, significantly increasing the range.

The SCAN AIS74 is an omnidirectional antenna operating on the international AIS band (161.5-162.5 MHz) with a gain of 4dB. The carefully designed antenna elements are sealed in a high-quality fiberglass tube. The antenna cable (optional) requires a UHF male connector to connect to the UHF male connector on the bottom of the SCAN AIS74 Marine antenna.

The SCAN AIS74 is suitable for all types of ships, from small boats to large coastal vessels and cruise ships. The high gain marine AIS antenna can be easily mounted on rail, mast or deck. All metal parts have a "DC short", so that a mass plate (groundplane) is not needed. With the SCAN AIS74 you get a lightweight AIS marine and offshore antenna, suitable for corrosive and demanding environments.
