The Poynting A-OMNI-0493 LTE-5G marine antenna is a robust antenna with a high gain (max. 9 dBi) and is designed for fixed indoor and outdoor mounting. Based on the Poynting A-OMNI 291-V1 antenna, the Poynting A-OMNI 0493-v1 has been further developed with a frequency range of 617-960, 1427-1517, 1710 - 2700 and 3400-3800 MHz.

The radiation pattern of the Poynting A-OMNI-0493 is unique. The movements of a boat at sea mean that the radiation pattern of an antenna makes the difference between whether or not there is an internet connection with the shore. A gain that is too high gives an "excess" while a low gain is inefficient and does not reach shore. The Poynting OMNI-0493-v01 is optimized for use onboard seagoing vessels, enabling the Poynting OMNI-0493-v01 to connect to the internet up to 15 miles from shore.

The Poynting A-OMNI-493-V1 has improved performance compared to its predecessor. This antenna can communicate with both 4G LTE and 5G masts. The OMNI-493 marine antenna is designed from sturdy material, making the antenna resistant to harsh weather conditions. In addition, the Poynting OMNI-0493-V1 antenna housing is UV and salt water resistant. The Poynting OMNI-A-0493 antenna is an OMNI directional antenna, so it does not have to be directed specifically at a GSM mast. If a mast fails, the antenna automatically switches to another mast. Should the antenna be used on an LTE-5G device, two antennas must be used (MiMo) to optimally replace the device.
